The packaging and shipment of Class 7 (radioactive) materials, if one wants to do it in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations (as one should!) can often be complicated and occasionally confusing (see our brief tutorial on radioactive material transport). That is why the DOT requires those who offer radioactive materials for shipment be appropriately trained, and receive periodic refresher training.

To help satisfy training and refresher requirements, Plexus-NSD is pleased to present a comprehensive course in the packaging and shipment of radioactive materials, that includes the necessary supporting information and guidance. Our lead instructor, who designed the course, has providing packaging/shipping initial and refresher training for many years and to hundreds of students.  His in-depth knowledge of all requirements, based on his experience in shipping radioactive materials of all types, ensures students receive real-world instruction/guidance applicable to their specific needs.

The Plexus training course, which can be delivered via webinar or live at your site, is designed to meet DOT regulations as specified in 49 CFR 172 Subpart H, and covers the requirements for shipping any Class 7 material by ground or by air (IATA). Click here for the course agenda.

Webinar-based training can be delivered over two or three days, depending on participant desires and schedules. Tuition for the webinar is $327 per student. On-site training may be delivered at a fixed price with no limit on the class size (i.e., the more students that attend, the lower the individual tuition)..
