Leadership

Plexus Scientific has assembled a dynamic group of senior managers that provide leadership and oversight to ensure that client needs are fully met. They place strong emphasis on delivering affordable, practical, and sustainable solutions to meet the needs of the organizations that Plexus serves.

Ms. Cain is President and CEO of Plexus Scientific Corporation. She has more than 30 years of experience, more than 10 of which have been at Plexus, in the government contracting arena of program management, business management, and personnel management. She has successfully developed and managed major contract teams that accomplished a wide variety of missions, including all levels of support in information management, program outreach and program management. Ms. Cain has extensive experience in all aspects of client relations, technical performance, employee development, and subcontract management. Customers include numerous Department of Defense offices, Federal agencies, and commercial organizations.

David Bell

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Mr. Bell, Vice President and General Counsel, has more than 32 years of legal experience, the last 23 of which are associated with environmental legal and regulatory issues at the federal and state levels.  He served in the Army's Environmental Law Division, Office of The Judge Advocate General, for 9 years, followed by service in Office of the Army General Counsel for 5 years as a senior environmental attorney. He serves as Plexus’s regulatory expert where he provides regulatory guidance on the firm's projects, including performance based remediation. His areas of expertise include DoD and U.S. Army regulations and policies, as well as federal and state laws and regulations, particularly those under CERCLA; RCRA; NEPA; BRAC; and the FUDS Program. His experience with each of these environmental laws, regulations, and programs includes providing legal advice regarding statutory and regulatory compliance on a full array of environmental issues ranging from regulation of military munitions to implementation of cleanup standards under the NCP; negotiation with Federal and state regulatory agencies; participating in RABs and public meetings and review and drafting of Community Involvement Plans; drafting, review, and implementation of DoD and U.S. Army policies and guidance on environmental issues.

 

Education:

Mr. Bell holds an LL.M in Environmental Law; an LL.M in Military Law; an M.S.B.A in Business Administration; a J.D; and a B.A. in Political Science

 

 

George Carellas

Vice President

Mr. Carellas served as prior Vice President of Plexus's Sustainable Solutions Group and oversaw the Sustainability and Strategic Planning consulting services. Prior to joining the private sector, he served as the DoD/Army Regional Environmental Coordinator for the Southeast, served as the Assistant for Sustainability for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health), and was the Environmental Chief in HQ Forces Command. Mr. Carellas has led many teams during his career including the one that authored “The Army Strategy for the Environment”, the Army’s initial sustainability policy/directive.. He represented the Army Secretariat in many forums in partnering with federal, state, and local agencies; non-governmental agencies; and the general public. He began his Army career in the Directorate of Logistics before moving to HQs Forces Command (FORSCOM), where he conducted industrial engineering functions, manpower staffing studies, operational analysis, BRAC, and contracting. As Division Chief in the FORSCOM Engineer, he was responsible for facilities engineering, resource management, and other functions at more than 20 installations with an annual budget of $1 billion.

 

Education:

Mr. Carellas holds a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech.

Kate Hutson

Vice President of Sustainable Solutions

Ms. Hutson serves as Vice President of Plexus's Sustainable Solutions Group, overseeing its Sustainability, Environmental, Energy, and Strategic Planning consulting services.  Ms. Hutson has more than 15 years of experience managing a wide range of federal, state, NGO, and private projects involving strategic planning, facilitation, environmental compliance, pollution prevention, natural/cultural resources, NEPA, GIS, and sustainability. Her background in legislative and regulatory reviews, as well as policy development, has proven successful as Ms. Hutson provides support to all levels of the Department of Defense – from installations to the major land holding commands, including the Army Reserve and Army National Guard, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. She also routinely supports Plexus in its Human Resources, Contracting, and Legal Counsel functions.  While her passion is travelling and professional football, she particularly enjoys helping to build fun, close-knit teams to support client requirements.

 

Education:

Ms. Hutson is a licensed Attorney in the State of Maryland, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the U.S. Supreme Court.  She holds her J.D. from New England Law – Boston and her B.A. from American University.

 

Ali Sadrieh

Vice President of Environmental Remediation Services
Ali Sadrieh

Mr. Sadrieh is a Professional Engineer and Vice President of Plexus's Environmental Rememediation Services Group. He has more than 21 years of experience in environmental remediation engineering, with a strong background in environmental remediation, safety, and quality control. He also has 10 years of successful program management experience, executing more than $75 million in remediation projects, including performance based contracts.

 

Education:

Mr. Sadrieh holds an MBA degree from Georgetown University, an MS degree in Geotechnical Engineering, and a BS degree in Civil Engineering.

 

Michael McCrory

Mr. McCrory serves as Vice President of Plexus's Business Solutions Group where he oversees the delivery of all IT services with a focus on strategic planning, strategy execution, and performance management though the use of Plexus's Program Performance Manager platform. He has more than 35 years of experience in information technology and management consulting. He also oversees and continually hardens the company's IT infrastructure.

 

Education:

Mr. McCrory holds an B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University at Kingston.

 

Lamar Edwards

Mr. Edwards, Chief Financial Officer, has 18 years of progressive managerial accounting experience with extensive knowledge of the government contracting and tax accounting domain. He is responsible for managing the financial operations of Plexus with responsibilities that include in-depth involvement in developing proposal pricing, DCAA interaction and coordination, budgeting at the corporate and group levels, financial reporting and analysis, cost reduction initiatives, cash management, and growth and profit forecasting. Since joining Plexus in 2000, Mr. Edwards has worked in various capacities to include Financial Analyst, Project Accountant, Controller, and Director of Finance. 

 

Education:

Mr. Edwards holds a B.A. degree in Accounting from Shippensburg University and is actively pursuing an M.B.A. degree and his CPA.
